Phoenix Arts Community Hub is more than an arts community. It's a MOVEMENT. It’s a legacy-driven community for positive change, personal growth and wellbeing, empowering this generation and inspiring many generations to come. Our mission is to transform lives through the power of the arts and true connections.

We are a production-based theatre company creating opportunities for kids, young adults and adults to experience friendship and, the arts, especially REAL theatre. From performers, writers and stage crew to lighting, sound, costumes and backstage, we believe every role matters and parents are welcome to join.

Our creative programs support mental wellbeing by helping participants stay present, reduce stress, and build resilience through the arts. Mind over matter.

We also focus on helping young people develop real-life skills such as communication, teamwork, public speaking, problem-solving, decision makings and confidence in everyday situations.

The main activity of the Phoenix Arts Community Hub is to establish and operate a community-based arts, performing, and cultural initiatives that provide accessible opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in creative arts, theatre, and environmental projects, with a primary focus on children and young people aged 5–17 years.

We are committed to fostering healthy social connection within the community, with leadership and volunteers serving as positive role models and supportive mentors, particularly for children and young people, guided by the belief that it takes a village to raise a child.

Phoenix Arts Community Hub will create and deliver rehearsals, productions, workshops and community events that encourage
creativity, inclusion, and skill development. We will rely on the support and involvement of volunteers to assist in delivering programs, activities, and events. Casual Arts & Program Facilitator and Assistant roles are paid roles until further notice.

Preparing students for university auditions and application processes, helping them confidently pursue performing arts and creative courses across Australia.

Our VALUES

At Phoenix, our values guide everything we do. They are our DNA. They shape a welcoming, creative and supportive space where young people can grow in confidence, connect with others and feel that they truly belong.

Phoenix could be a great fit if your child loves performing, creating or simply having fun and connecting with others. They don’t need to be outgoing, experienced or already confident to belong here. They may be shy, completely new to the arts, looking to make friends or simply wanting something positive and creative to enjoy on the weekend. And there’s no pressure to take part in the final production. If your child simply wants to come along, join in the acting and drama games we play every session, have fun and be part of the community, they are absolutely welcome. At Phoenix, every young person can participate in a way that feels right for them.

Phoenix and WA’s Growing Screen Industry

With more than $290 million invested by the WA State Government in the new Perth Film Studios at Whiteman, Western Australia’s film and screen industry is entering a major period of growth, creating new opportunities in acting, production, writing, technical roles, design and behind-the-scenes careers. Phoenix Arts Community Hub can contribute by helping young people develop creative, performance and production skills from an early age, giving them practical experience, confidence and awareness of the many career pathways available in the screen industry. By creating opportunities for young people to explore acting, filmmaking, writing, sound, lighting, costumes and production, Phoenix can help build the next generation of local creative talent ready to participate in WA’s expanding film industry.
